Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with grandeur and patriotic spirit across all its operational units.

The ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag took place at the Administrative Building of BCPL Lepetkata, led by Shri Pruthiviraj Dash, Director (Finance), BCPL.  Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at BCPL Lakwa and Duliajan units, reflecting the organization’s commitment to unity and national pride.

The event started with the mass singing of National Song Vande Mataram as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026.

The central celebration saw the National Flag being hoisted by the Chief Guest, Shri Pranjal Changmai, Managing Director, BCPL, who also conducted an inspection of the CISF, DGR security personnel, NCC cadets from local educational institutes. In his Independence Day address, Shri Changmai reflected on the importance of safety and plant performance and growth of the organisation. He congratulated all the employees on the august occasion and appreciated the contributions of BCPL employees towards national development.

As part of the celebration, awards were presented to employees for Best Suggestions and Best HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Performance. Additionally, children of BCPL employees were felicitated for their academic excellence, underscoring the organization’s support for education and youth development.

Employees of BCPL who demonstrated extraordinary efforts during the recent flood of Assam were also felicitated by BCPL Management.

The event featured vibrant cultural performances by BCPL employees and their family members and CISF personnel adding colour and joy to the celebration. A cricket and football match for children and other sports events were organised, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony to encourage the winners and participants.

The programme concluded on a solemn and proud note with the singing of the National Anthem, bringing the celebrations to a close in true patriotic spirit.
