The Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for North East India document was launched by the Government of India in February, 2016 to prepare a roadmap till 2030 to increase the production of oil and gas in northeast India and outline the necessary investment in the hydrocarbon sector to increase exploration activities, expand the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network and ensure availability of petroleum products, including LPG, in the remotest corners of the region. In this context, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a Stakeholders Consultation on Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for North East India with focus on Assam Basin on 23 June 2018 at Guwahati. Sh. Reep Hazarika, CGM (O&M) along with other 2 executives represented BCPL where he delivered a talk indicating the importance of polymer in this region. As a part of Hydrocarbon Vision -2030 BCPL Team also had a discussion regarding the scope of enhancement of feed stocks for BCPL towards boosting up the polymer business in this region which is expected to contribute towards the economic development of the region.
